Sister Sister

Hello!

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought I'd take a moment to celebrate women, and especially the bond that exists between sisters.  You may not always get along or like her boyfriend but you know when your back is against the wall she will be there for you!

                                                           Serena and Venus William

                                                            Kendal and Kyle Jenner

I have been blessed enough to meet many amazing women in my life, some have come and gone but through it all my sisters have been with me from the start, there to support me, help and annoy me just as much. The funny thing is I wouldnt have it any other way.

The Jenner and Kardashian Sisters

                                                            Solange and Beyonce Knowles

                                                                Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen

I found myself looking up pictures of celebrity sisters and ws pleasantly surprised to see the number of women in the lime light along with their sisters.  I have either danced to the music of these women made, cheered for them, they have made me laugh, watched their shows or just admired their sense of style, business acumen and personalities.

Tamar, Towanda,Toni, Traci & Trina Braxton

Jessica and Ashley Simpson

Tia and Tamera Mowry

Janet, Latoya and Reebie Jackson

Trend: Lace

Hello!

I get super excited whenever a great trend emerges, at the moment I'm enjoying the dainty lace designs that are big at the moment.

There are a million and one ways to wear lace, It is nothing like when lace was coarse and itchy and was used mostly to make awful curtains LoL!

Of course we have to be careful not to look tacky by picking great colours and designs.  This seasons most stores have lace pieces in their Autumn/Winter ranges.  Try and find out what you like and just go with it!

Wedges

Hello!

I love seventies fashon, the wide leg pants and tweed jackets, the big hair and funky accesories.  This is the reason why I'm so happy with the return of the wedge.  They can be wedged boots, sandals or shoes it does not matter, I love them.

Wedges are quite versatile and can be worn with most things for most occassions.  They are much easier to walk in as well because of the platform base.

So remember the bigger the better, with jeans or a flowy skirt go back in time and rock the trend!

Dream Dream Dream

Hello!

I've found myself being drawn to purples and plum shades of late. Whether It Is a pair of shoes or a scarf,  I can not seem to help myself, if its in these shades Im drooling.

I dont know who this bag is by but I love the style, shape and colour.  This bag can be worn as a messenger bag or carried on the arm.   The satchel is very big this season and Im hoping and dreaming to find this beauty one day. Hey, a girl can dream, cant she? LoL

Solange Knowles

Hello!
Solange Paiget Knowles has quickly become one of my favourite fashionistas, the reason is because she is not afraid to reinvent herself.  The twenty five year old mother of one is very daring when it comes to her image.  This can range from the colours she chooses to wear, the brands and designers she favours or cutting off all her hair and going natural in an industry that encourages women to be fake from head to toe.

This multi talented singer, songwriter, dj, actress and dancer is very refreshing.  She keeps most people guessing as to what moves she is going to make when it comes to her image.  I applaud her bravery because not many people understand what it really takes to be truly yourself and leave your own mark, especially since she is always being pitted against her superstar older sister.

I dont believe that being fashionable or stylish means following trends, i dont think it means being emblazoned in deigner logos from head to do, to me fashion has everything to do with personality and originality and not how much money one has.  Solange is one example of how you can look good in your own unique way.  I may not wear all the pieceses she chooses but I get where she's coming from
 with the ideas.  Bravo Solo

Nail It

Hello!

As summer is drawing to an end Ive got to put away all my bright summer nail polishes.  Im not looking forward to that because I'm partial to bright colours, I'm like a kid in a candy store collecting some seriously In-Your-Face bright colours.  Barry M available at Superdrug, Is one of the brands I rely on when it comes to nail polishes especially because they are so affordable!

Autumn is fast approaching and the colours for the season are leaning towards the plum tones and navy blues. Metal finishes are very popular at the moment, as well as prints.  Sally Hansen does a wide variety of press on nail effects, these are great because they allow you to experiment with  different effects.

What ever the case maybe, paint your nails whatever colours you like or flatter your skin tone.  Its nail polish, not brain surgery!  Go on and Express yourself

Suits You, Sir

Hello!

I enjoy fashion very much, however i dont claim to be an expert at it.  I love mens and womens fashion and enjoy watching trends come and go. In my humble opinion, the most important thing every man must have in his closet is a tailored suit he can wear to just about any occasion. I knew I had to post on mens suits the minute I came across these photographs.

A good quality suit can take any man from season to season, of course it is important to make sure the garments are properly cleaned as often as possible to maintain their shape.  Guys what is so hard about going for a proper fitting and buying several suites in different shades and all you have to do is change the shirts, ties and cuff links?  Its better than what us ladies have to go through!

Try to avoid anything with loud designs. sleeves that are too long for your arms and trousers that are too tight or too big and too long.  The fitting is everything!! To complete your James Bond look add some colour in the form of nice ties, sweaters and a nice gym bag, not the backpack you have had since high school.  Trust me, a great suit fitting suit will have the ladies double taking. Go for a  fitting!!
